Gisou by Negin Mirsalehi

I finally decided to take the plunge and purchase some Gisou products. Gisou is a haircare brand by influencer, turned entrepreneur, Negin Mirsalehi. 

Negin started by launching her staple Honey Infused Hair Oil and has gone on to expand the product range from 1 to 8 products, not including the same product in different sizes, in the span of 5 years. 

Products can be purchased from the Gisou website, Sephora US & CA, as well as Revolve Beauty. 

Since the products are a bit pricy and I didn't yet know what I would like, I opted to order the Mini Series set to try out the travel sizes before making a larger commitment. 

I have to say, part of me was prepared for this all to be a gimmick, an over-hyped insta product that I would never come to love. Instead, I found myself mesmerised! 

As someone with plaque psoriasis I was definitely worried that the shampoo was going to be irritating. However, I loved it! The way it foams and feels when applied is perfect. I loved how my scalp felt after using it. 

I loved the conditioner and the mask equally, I tried them on separate occasions and felt like overall the silkiness factor was the same. 

I quite liked the heat protectant spray but during the pandemic I have not been using many heat tools. Perhaps when I start to socialise again its an item that I'll purchase for regular use. 

I made the decision to purchase the shampoo, the hair oil, and the mask. I chose the mask over the conditioner because I felt like the end result was the same and I would rather invest in a mask that I use once a week versus a conditioner that I would use after every wash. For now I am using my drugstore conditioner, but honestly so tempted to get it next time!
